Vagrant Records

Vagrant Records is an American record label, specializing in particular musicians in the fields of punk and emo or emocore. It was founded in 1992 by the Face-to -Face manager Rich Egan and his friend Jon Cohen in Hollywood, California. On the first major release of the label, a compilation, there were 1994 bands like Face to Face, Down by Law and Samiam. 1998 appeared the first brought out by Vagrant studio album, The Hurt Process of Boxer. In the same year a live album by Face to Face with over 80,000 units sold, proved first major commercial success.

Over time, the company grew to more than a dozen employees. In Europe, the plates via Rough Trade are sold.

In addition to the albums of individual bands and artists Vagrant also released a compilation series. This appears under the name Another Year on the Streets. In addition, a soundtrack CD for the computer game Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, where some bands represented on the label as well as groups such as My Chemical Romance, Rise Against and Thrice punk rock classics from amongst others appeared on Vagrant 2005 Black Flag, Minor Threat and the Bad Brains who covered.
