Val-de-Ruz District

The District du Val -de- Ruz is a district of the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. It covers the region of the Val de Ruz and the surrounding Jura mountains.

The voters approved the merger of 15 municipalities of the 16 municipalities of the district by January 1, 2013 November 27, 2011. The new church bears the name of Val -de- Ruz and has around 16,000 inhabitants. The district will consist of only two communities, Val- de -Ruz and Valanginian.
