Valentine Hall
Valentine " Vallie " Gill Hall ( born November 12, 1867 in New York; † October 26, 1934 ) was an American tennis player.
Hall won in 1888 on the side of Oliver Campbell the doubles title at the U.S. Championships. After the following year, his title could not defend with Campbell, he won in 1890 again, this time on the side of Clarence Hobart. Most recently, he was in the 1892 Double -finals of the U.S. Championships this year, along with his brother Edward Hall.
Hall was an uncle of Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
