Varese–Porto Ceresio railway
The railway line Varese Porto Ceresio is a branch line in Lombardy. It connects the city with the Varese on Lake Lugano Porto Ceresio.
The line was opened on 18 July 1894. 1902, the line was electrified with a power rail, as part of the " Ferrovie Varesine ".
Today (2011 ), the path is interrupted due to renovation work. From Arcisate railway station is a new track to Stabio (and thereby Como and Lugano) under construction.
