Vatu Vara

Vatu Vara, because of their appearance also has called Iceland, is an uninhabited volcanic island in the northern part of the Lau archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. Geography

Vatu Vara is the westernmost island in the Northern Lau Group and is located 20 km south of Yacata, 32 km west of Mago and 45 km north-west of Cicia. The island built of coral measures approximately 2.4 x 2.1 km (by surrounding reef 3.6 by 2.5 km) and rises steeply to a height of 314 m from the Korosee. Vatu Vara represents an Upscale Atoll from the so-called Guyot - type, with a plateau- like peaks and steep cliffs.
