Velfac

VELFAC A / S is a Danish company with headquarters in Horsens. Main business of Velfac is the production of windows and doors, especially for facades. The company is a subsidiary of the parent company Villum Kann Rasmussen Holding to which, inter alia, the daughter Velux is one with its own product line. Velfac exported to many countries and has sales offices in England, the United States, Ireland, Sweden and Denmark. The headquarters is located in Ringkøbing. The company has 759 employees and had 2008 annual sales of about 1.3 billion Danish kroner ( 200 million euros ).

History

In 1941 Villum Kann Rasmussen founded the V. Kann Rasmussen & Co. This company founded in 1952, the subsidiary Velfac. ; 1962 Velfac is a registered trademark. Right from its foundation to produce Velfac windows and doors, which first wooden windows and doors were manufactured. The product range has been enlarged over the years and from 1980, the production focused in particular on wood - aluminum windows and doors.

In 2000 the company opened in Nørresundby the Velfac house with 8000 square meters of production space, the house was extended in subsequent years piecewise. Additionally, he established Velfac in several Danish cities exhibition venues - 2003 such houses were, among others, in Nørresundby, Horsens, Roskilde, Odense and Ringkøbing, opened in Aarhus and 2007 in Hillerød 2005.
