Veľké Kostoľany

Veľké Kostoľany (1927-1948 " Veľké Kostolany " until 1927 " Kostolany "; Großkostolan German, Hungarian Nagykosztolány ) is a municipality in western Slovakia. It is located in the hills near the river Danube Chtelnička, about 16 km from Piešťany and 17 km from Trnava.

The first written mention was made in 1209 as Costulan.

The municipality also includes the 1945 is my finished Zákostoľany place.

Veľké Kostoľany is the location of a transmitter system for MW and SW, but shut down nowadays, but still likely to be at least partially operational.
