Velké Poříčí

Velké Poříčí ( German United Poric ) is a patch in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Náchod on the border with Poland and is part of the Okres Náchod.

Geography

Velké Poříčí located west of the Table Mountains in the Valley of Mettau. The elongated place has grown together in the north with Hronov and extends to the mouth of Brlenka. On the hill Jonák east of the village there is a sports airfield. Over the hills to the right of Mettau run bunker lines of the Czechoslovak Walls.

Neighboring towns are Hronov in the north, Zálesí and Zlíčko in the northeast, Přední Zada, Žďárky and Czermna in the east, brnE and Malá Čermná the southeast, Słone and Malé Poříčí in the south, Pavlišov the southwest, Slavíkov and Horni Radechová in the west and Studénky in the northwest.

History

Velké Poříčí was probably founded during the colonization of the area by Hron of Načerat on Náchod at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century. The first mention of a settlement belonging to the reign Náchod Poříčko dates from 1415. Velké Poříčí was a farming community, the court was under the town Hronov. 1770 was the site of 65 houses. During this time Welike Porzicz also received the right to use a community seal. At the beginning of the 19th century, it had grown to 124 stores and had 822 inhabitants. At the end of the 19th century Velké Poříčí transformed into an industrial community. After the construction of the county road from Nachod after Hronov in 1868 and the realized 1873-1875 railroad construction of Chotzen to Braunau several large weavers settled in 1891 was the company Fröhlich & Pentlarz, 1895 Messrs.
