Vermont (Band)

Vermont was an American emo band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Band History

Vermont was founded in 1998 by Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier, who both had played until then been together at The Promise Ring and now wanted to start a new, less Emo -heavy project. Chris Roseneau of Pele later completed the trio.

From 1998 to 2002, Vermont published a split single with Ida, a split LP with Centro -matic and two more albums in children Core Records, and licensed at Polyvinyl Records. In addition, the band delivered some compilation contributions and played in 2001 with Mark Mallman a Long player. In the spring of 2002 appeared with the album Calling Albany the last publication of Vermont. In the same year brought von Bohlen and Didier then an album with her old band The Promise Ring out, but which was finally dissolved in late 2002. Later von Bohlen and Didier formed their current band Maritime, which finds its origins in the musical sound of Vermont.
