The VI. SS Volunteer Corps ( Latvian ), from March 1945 VI. Waffen- SS Army Corps ( lett ), was a major unit of the Waffen- SS during World War II.

History

The HQ VI. SS Volunteer Corps ( Latvian ) was set up on 8 October 1943, the Grafenwoehr Training Area for the guidance of the Latvian Waffen SS volunteer divisions ( 15th and 19th Latvian SS Volunteer Division ). Parts of the IV SS Panzer Corps were used to draw up, started its installation in August, had been but then canceled. In January 1944, the Corps of 16th Army of Army Group North was supplied and used until the middle of the room Pskov. At times, it was also assumed in the 18th Army.

Due to the Pskov - Ostrower operation of the Red Army in July 1944, the Corps has been pushed back to Livonia. The 15th SS division was so badly injured that she had to be re- erected in West Prussia. You no longer came afterwards in the Corps Association for use. As a result of the September to November conducted by Baltic operation, the corps was trapped with the rest of Army Group Kurland -Kessel. She then served in the six " Kurlandschlachten " until the war ended.
