Viacha

Viacha is a town in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

Viacha is the center of the county ( bolivian: Municipio) Viacha in the province Ingavi on the right bank of the Río Pallina. The village lies at an altitude of 3870 m on the Bolivian Altiplano, 70 km south-east of Lake Titicaca.

Geography

Viacha located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental and the Cordillera Central in the west to the east. The climate of the region is a typical diurnal climate where the average temperatures during the day fluctuate more than the year.
