Vicki Lawrence

Vicki Lawrence ( born March 26, 1949 in Inglewood, California as Vicki Ann Axelrad ) is an American actress and former singer. She has starred in the series The Carol Burnett Show and Mama 's Family in the series, she played the role of Thelma Harper.

Life

From 1965 to 1967 Vicki Lawrence sang in the performance group The Young Americans. From the autumn of 1967 she starred in the television show, The Carol Burnett Show. In the same year she started at the University of California, Los Angeles to study theater arts. For her performances in the Carol Burnett Show, she received an Emmy Award and five Emmy nominations.
