Victor Shem-Tov

Victor Shem - Tov (Hebrew ויקטור שם - טוב, born 1 February 1915 in Samokov, † March 8, 2014 ) was an Israeli politician.

Shem - Tov was Israeli Minister without Portfolio (1969-1970), also Minister of Health (July 27, 1970 to June 20, 1977 ) and Minister of Welfare and Social Services (June 3, 1974 to October 29, 1974 ).

Victor Shem - Tov came from a resident of the Western Bulgarian Samokov family of goldsmiths. He lived mostly in Sofia and was a member of the Maccabi Youth Movement. He emigrated in 1939 to Palestine, where he still joined in the same year of the Hashomer Hatzair youth organization. Shem - Tov 1946 Member of the Jerusalem Workers' Council and was from 1949 to 1950 Chairman of the Bulgarian immigrant association.
