Yaakov Edri

Jacob Edery (Hebrew יעקב אדרי, born November 25, 1950 in Morocco) is an Israeli politician and minister.

Description

He moved to Israel in 1959. He attended the University of Haifa, where he studied political science and administration.

From 1989-2003 he was mayor of Or Akiva, where he also lives.

In 2006 he was Minister of Health; 2006-2007 Minister without Portfolio ( Jerusalem Affairs Minister of Israel); 2007-2008 he was Minister for the reception of immigrants, 2007-2009, he was Minister for the Development of the Negev and Galilee.
