Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel
Vigneulles- lès -Hattonchâtel is a commune with 1559 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meuse in the Lorraine region. It is capital of the canton Vigneulles- lès -Hattonchâtel in the Arrondissement COMMERCY.
Geography
The municipality located 40 kilometers southwest of Metz in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park. In the municipality stems from the River Yron.
History
The municipality was created in 1973 from the merger of the villages Billy -sous -les- Côtes, Creuë, Hattonchâtel Hattonville, Saint -Benoit -en- Woëvre and Viéville -sous -les- Côtes.
