Vila das Aves is a comune ( freguesia ) in Portugal. It lies in the north of the country and belongs to the district of Santo Tirso. Vila das Aves has an area of 6.2 km ² and 8443 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011), was / is equivalent to a population density of 1371 inhabitants km ².

On April 4, 1955, the city was awarded the status of town ( Vila ), which was then integrated into the existing name Aves.

Between 1960 and 1975 many residents of Vila das Aves worked as guest workers in the Lorraine textile industry. 1986, creating what is still existing partnership with the municipality of Saint -Étienne- lès- Remiremont.
