Vinzons, Camarines Norte

Vinzons is a Philippine municipality in the province of Camarines Norte.

The first recorded name of Vinzons was Tacboan, this was later changed to Indan. The municipality was renamed in honor of Wenceslao Q. Vinzons a former provincial governor of Camarines Norte. The town was founded in 1581 by Franciscans ( OFM) with no church and no patron saint. Only in 1611 a church was built with the patron saint Simon Peter.

From the port of the community, there are boats to the Archipelago of the Calaguas group of islands.
