Mercedes (Camarines Norte)

Mercedes is a Philippine municipality in the east of the province of Camarines Norte, on the coast of San Miguel Bay.

Originally called the Barra and was a Baranggay the provincial capital of Daet. In 1948 he became an independent municipality with an area of ​​92.14 km ². The name was named after Doña Mercedes; a rich woman who devoted her life to helping the community, especially the poor.
