Vital Remains

Vital Remains is a Founded in 1989, American Death Metal band. It is characterized by a ' brutal ', fast played, but still technically savvy play. Their musical influences are due to bands like Venom, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Sodom and Destruction. The texts contain consistently anti-Christian content.

History

The band was founded in 1989 in Providence. After two demos they could sign a record deal with Peaceville. The first album Let Us Pray was released in 1992, the successor Into Cold Darkness three years later. During this time, Black Metal was the dominant trend in the underground of Metal. Despite their anti-Christian and satanic lyrics, the band but could not prevail and lost her record deal. Then went on as a trio.

1997 Vital Remains could sign with Osmose Productions, where her 1997 album Forever Underground appeared. Published in 2000 Vital Remains 's latest album Dawn of the Apocalypse for the French label. Several line-ups took turns during this time. On drums various session musicians were employed. The only constants were Lazaro and Suzuki.

2001 Suzuki took Lazaro and Glen Benton of Deicide on in the group. With him, they released two albums for the label Century Media, in 2003 they signed a contract.
