Peaceville Records

Peaceville Records is a British independent record company.

History

The company was founded in 1987 by Paul " Hammy " Halmshaw in Cleckheaton, England. Originally Peaceville a pure cassette label, which published primarily anarcho- punk. Since 1988, the company is a full-time job for Halmshaw and over the years was the musical selection over crust and hardcore to the direction of Metal. He has passed the line of Peaceville to Paul Groundswell by Snapper Music in late 2006.

Especially the band My Dying Bride, Anathema and Paradise Lost - subsequently often referred to as the "Big Three of Doom Metal " means - have made the label at the beginning of the 90s, especially in metal circles popular.
