Vittsjö GIK

The Vittsjö GIK (full name Vittsjö Gymnastics & Idrottsklubb ) is a sports club from the southern Swedish Vittsjö, founded on 22 November 1933. The association was particularly well known for its women's football department, since 2012 in the highest Swedish league, the Damallsvenskan plays.

Women's Soccer

History

In 2008 the club first promotion to the then second-class Division 1, of the club in 2011, rising to become masters of Südstaffel in the Damallsvenskan. There, they finished in the seasons 2012 and 2013, the sixth or eighth place in the table.

Stadium

The club plays its home matches at the 1,500 -seat Vittsjö IP, which was renovated in 2012.
