Vladimir Albitsky

Vladimir Alexandrovich Albizki (Russian: Владимир Александрович Альбицкий; * 4 Junijul / June 16 1891greg in Kishinev, .. † June 15, 1952 ) was a Soviet astronomer.

In the lists of discovered asteroids his name is specified in the English spelling as V. Albitskij.

He worked from 1922 at the Crimean Observatory in Simejis, which was a branch of the Pulkovo Observatory at that time, together with GA Schain and GN Neuimin. During this time he discovered ten asteroids.

The asteroid (1783 ) Albitskij was named after him.

Publications

According to his file in the archives of the Pulkovo Observatory WA Albitzki has authored 88 publications. Only five of them can be found in the Astrophysics Data System (ADS ) of NASA, the rest exists as a by Alex Gaina deployed copy from the archive. This also includes a large portion of the asteroid observations.
