Vladimir Masorin

Vladimir Vasilyevich Massorin (Russian: Владимир Васильевич Масорин; * August 24, 1947 in the village Popovka, near Bely ) is a Russian fleet admiral and former commander in chief of the Russian naval fleet.

Life

After the birth the family moved to Massorins Bely and he attended the middle school. In 1965, he began service in the Soviet Navy in the Black Sea Seeoffiziershochschule PS Nakhimov, she graduated in 1970 and was commander of the artillery battle section (GA -2) on the Great anti-submarine ship Smyschlenny the Northern Fleet. Massorin supported the growth of the Russian naval presence in the Mediterranean, the modernization of the fleet and increasing the combat readiness of the fleet -based strategic missile forces. On 13 September 2007 Massorin was summarily dismissed by President Vladimir Putin. The reason given by the media receiving an award in the United States called, but was denied by the Ministry of Defence.

Massorin was advisor to the Russian Defense Ministry. He is married and has two sons.
