Vladimir Sedov

Vladimir Sedov ( Владимир Владимирович Седов; born March 2, 1988 in Almaty) is a Kazakhstani weightlifter. He was 2009 World champion at middleweight heavyweight.

Career

Vladimir Sedov began as a teenager in his hometown with the weight lifting. He quickly developed into an outstanding athletes, especially since he good physical conditions for a lift in the light heavy or medium heavy weight class brings in a size of 1.73 meters.

His first start in an international championship, he graduated in 2005 at the Junior World Championship in Busan. He scored there in the middleweight division in a duel 329 kg ( 153-176 ), thus placing 4th. After intense preparation, he started in 2008 at the Olympic Games in Beijing. In the light heavyweight division he scoring 380 kg ( 180-200 ). He achieved the same performance as the winner of the bronze medal Tigran Vardan Martirosyan from Armenia, but was a bit heavier than this and had to be content with 4th place.

The change in the middle heavyweight in 2009, marked an important step for him. 2012, Vladimir Sedov did not qualify for the team of Kazakhstan for the Olympic Games in London. In the Middle heavyweight dor Ilya Ilyin and Almas Uteschow launched for Kazakhstan.
