Vladyslav Piskunov

Wladyslaw Piskunov (Ukrainian Владислав Піскунов, English transcription Vladyslav Piskunov, . Born June 7, 1978 in Nowa Kachowka ) is a former Ukrainian hammer thrower.

He was 1994 World Junior Champion, lost his title but by subsequent disqualification for doping. In the late 1990s he joined again internationally in appearance. At the European Championships in Budapest in 1998, he finished in tenth place, at the Universiade 1999, he was third.

The most significant success of his career, he scored at the World Athletics Championships in 1999 in Seville. There he won the bronze medal behind Karsten Kobs and Zsolt Németh. As a result, Piskunov showed fluctuating performances. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and at the World Athletics Championships 2001 in Edmonton, he left already in the qualification. However, he picked at the Universiade in 2001 and at the European Championships in Munich in 2002, respectively the silver medal. At the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris / Saint- Denis and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he failed again in qualifying.

After he was convicted for the second time during a check during the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 in his career of doping, he was occupied with a lifetime competition ban.

Wladyslaw Piskunov is 1,83 m tall and weighed about 106 kg competition times.
