Walton Eller

Walton " Glenn " Eller ( born January 6, 1982 in Houston ) is an American sports shooter. His biggest success is the victory at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in Double Trap.

Career

For several years, Walton Eller is one of the best athletes in the double trap. In this discipline, he won several titles and medals. His first big success at the international level was the second place at the ISSF World Cup 2002 in Lahti. A year later he won in Nicosia with 192 points, becoming the third American Double Trap World Champion since the inaugural tournament in 1989. Eller For the first time in 2004 took part in the Olympic Games in Athens. There, however, he could not qualify for the finals and finished 17th in the 2005 and 2007 World Cup winner Walton Eller, at the 2007 World Championships, again in Nicosia, but again it was only the 17th place. At the Olympics 2008 he started for the second time in the double trap, but this time he made the finals and won the six- field before the Italian Francesco D' Aniello and Hu Binyuan from the host country China.
