Warren Stevens
Warren Stevens ( born November 2, 1919 in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, † March 27, 2012 in Sherman Oaks, California ) was an American actor.
Life
Stevens attended the United States Naval Academy, which he left because of visual impairment not finish; during the Second World War, he was employed as a pilot despite these in the U.S. Army. During his training time in Annapolis, he began acting, which he continued after the war on the stage and for radio. After visiting the Actors Studio in New York, he made his Broadway debut in the play " Galileo" in 1947. A small role in " Detective Story" earned him a contract with 20th Century Fox. After his first film frogmen opposite Richard Widmark, he appeared in no less than seven movies of the year 1952. In addition to Humphrey Bogart starred in The Barefoot Contessa and had a rare starring role in 1956 in Forbidden Planet. However, his film career did not develop so well and often remained cheap science fiction films arrested. So his actual main work remains with the TV: Here he played about one hundred and fifty roles, mostly as a guest star in dozens and dozens of series; twice he was one of the main cast such: 1956/1957 in Tales of the 77th Bengal Lancer and 1969/1970 in Bracken 's World.
