Wattle Range Council

Wattle Range located in the extreme south-east of South Australia on the border with Victoria about 420 km southeast of the city of Adelaide and 410 kilometers west of Melbourne. The area includes 40 districts and towns: Beachport, Benara, Benara Flat, Canunda, Comaum, Coonawarra, Furner, Glencoe, Glencoe West, Glenroy, Grey, Hatherleigh, Kalangadoo, Katnook, Killanoola, Kirip, Koorine, Krongart, Leggs Lane, Maaoupe, Millicent, Mount Burr, Mount Graham, Mount McIntyre, Nangula, Nangwarry, Penola, Pompoon, Rendlesham, Rivoli Bay Rocky Camp, Sebastapol, Short, Snuggery, Southend, St Clair, Tantanoola, Thornlea, Wattle Range and Wyrie. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Millicent in the west of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Wattle Range has twelve members, eleven Councillor elected by the residents of the four Wards ( two each from Riddoch, Sorby Adams and Kintore Ward, five from Corcoran Ward). These four districts are set independently of the villages. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the LGA.
