Wayne Jackson (musician)

Wayne Jackson ( Wayne Lamar Jackson, * November 24, 1941 Memphis (Tennessee), USA), nicknamed The Soul Man (English, German Soul of man) is an American trumpeter, arranger and songwriter. He is a fair-skinned half of the core of the American backing band, The Memphis Horns.

Life

The musician grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas. After his first musical experiments on a guitar he got on his 11th birthday present from his mother a trumpet:
