Action

Dinky Bossetti is a student and outsider, who lives in the small town of Clyde, Ohio. She spends a lot of time with their pets. My classmate and son of a dentist, Gerald Howells, is interested in them.

Bossetti was adopted and is convinced that the famous Roxy Carmichael is her real mother. Denton Webb has once had an affair with Roxy Carmichael. The small town is preparing for a visit from Carmichael. Dinky tells the environment, her alleged mother would take them after the visit. The adoptive parents are looking for Dinky a special school.

Dinky befriends with the school psychologist Elizabeth Zaks. Zaks defends the girl in front of the other teachers who hold Bossetti for maladjusted.
