Safe Collinwood 's difficult is a film by Anthony and Joe Russo, shot in 2002 in the United States. The Russo brothers are also responsible for the screenplay. The production was the small ensemble film by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh. Clooney himself is to be seen in a cameo role as safecracker (see cameo ).
Action
Cosimo, in his top wannabe gangster in Collinwood, busted for car theft behind bars. There he learns of a " sure-fire " plan for a burglary, a so-called " Bellini ", which its author grounds of age can no longer perform. Cosimo caused his beloved Rosalind, to give him a scapegoat, a so-called " Mullinski ", which in his stead the penalty to settle, so he can run the break. Originally called the film Welcome to Collinwood and at the same time thus describes the place of action, a rundown suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.
The German title of the film corresponded to the German title of the Italian original " Soliti ignoti " from 1958, with an almost identical plot. At the time this film was so successful that 1959 is a sequel to " Audace colpo dei soliti ignoti " ( German " thieves are people too " ) was filmed.
Also there are great similarities with Crackers ( USA, 1984).
Clooney and Soderbergh were on the Russo brothers attention Herself straight Oceans Eleven turned, and were fascinated that the material represented the exact opposite of their own film.
