Wendel Geraldo

Wendel Geraldo Maurício da Silva or simply Wendel ( born April 28, 1982 in Mariana ) is a Brazilian footballer. Currently, the midfielder is the Saudi Arabian club Al- Ittihad under contract.

Career

Wendel's professional career began in 2001 in his Brazilian homeland in Uberlandia. After just one season he spent two seasons at Cruzeiro before moving in January 2005 to Portugal to Nacional Funchal. But after four months, he left the club in order to return to Brazil. This time he joined the Santos FC. After one and a half years, he tried a second attempt to gain a foothold in Europe. On August 25, 2006, he signed a contract with the French first division club Girondins Bordeaux, whose running time is valid until 2010.
