West Los Angeles

West Los Angeles ( West LA for short ) is a neighborhood and a planning region of Los Angeles. As the name suggests, it lies to the west of the city center and is therefore generally counted on the West Side.

It has the status of a community plan area (CPA ), that a planning area. For this, however, include areas that are generally understood as a separate district. The CPA borders on (from north clockwise): Westwood, Beverly Hills, Wilshire, West Adams - Balwin Hills - Leimert, Palms - Mar Vista, Santa Monica and Brentwood - Pacific Palisades and Veterans Administration.

The Los Angeles Times subdivided West LA in their project Mapping LA in smaller Area: Beverlywood, Century City, Cheviot Hills, Rancho Park, Sawtelle, West Los Angeles, and Pico - Robertson (this, however, lies partly in the CPA Wilshire ).
