Western Province (Solomon Islands)

Western is the island richest province of the Pacific island nation of Solomon Islands. It is bordered on the north by the islands of the neighboring country Papua New Guinea, on the east by the province of Isabel and on the south by the province of Central.

All islands in the province are geographically and geologically assign the chain of the Solomon Islands. The New Georgia archipelago, the Shortland Islands and the Treasury Islands are islands of the western province.
