Wethersfield is a town in Hartford County in the U.S. state of Connecticut with 27,000 inhabitants ( 2004). The geographic coordinates are: 41.70 ° North, 72.67 ° West. The metropolitan area has a size of 34.0 km ².
History
Wethersfield was founded in 1634 by farmers in neighboring Watertown as a city residence and one of the oldest cities in Connecticut. On April 23, 1637, some residents of the community were killed in a raid by Pequot Indians. In May 1781 planning here George Washington and French General Rochambeau de the Battle of Yorktown in Virginia.
