The Widdehagen is a 634.7 m above sea level. NN high mountain in Upland, the northeastern foothills of the Rothaargebirge in Hesse ( Germany ).

Geographical location

The most heavily forested mountain is located in the northwest of Northern Hesse ( Waldeck- Frankenberg ) in the far east of the Uplands and is surrounded by the natural park Diemelsee. It rises about 7.5 km north- west of Korbach or approximately 1.75 km (depending on distance) east of Schweinsbühl, a southern part of the municipality of Diemelsee.

About the Widdehagen runs a part of the Diemel-Eder/Fulda/Weser-Wasserscheide: While the Rhene, which rises on the southwestern slope of the Widdehagens, drained to the north over the Diemel into the Weser River, the water of Rhena, on the eastern neighboring mountain high flows Rade ( 570.8 m) rises in the south via Neerdar and Wild Aa and then Orke and Eder east to Fulda and finally north into the Weser.
