Wilberforce Talel

Wilberforce Talel ( born January 10, 1980 at Marakwet District ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

At the World Cross Country Championships in 2000 he was fifth and 2002 Third on the long haul and won respectively gold with the team. Also in 2002, he performed at half-marathon competition of the Salzburg Marathon with 1:01:17 h the current course record and won at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in the 10,000 m.

In 2003 he was the same distance sixth in the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis. At the World Cross Country Championships 2004 he finished tenth in the World Cross Country Championships 2005 Eleventh; he won both times with the team silver.

After a fourth place at the Delhi Half Marathon 2005, he debuted at the Vienna City Marathon 2007 on the full distance and finished seventh. In the same year he was fifth at the Portugal Half Marathon.

Wilberforce Talel is married, trained himself and is supervised by Posso Sports.
