Willem Duyn

Willem Duyn ( born March 31, 1937 in Haarlem, North Holland, † 3 December 2004 in near Almelo (Netherlands) ) was a Dutch singer.

Duyn began his career in 1960 as a drummer. With his partner Sjoukje van't Spijker as Maggie MacNeal (born 5 May 1950) he had as " Mouth" Mouth & MacNeal in a duo in 1971 some great successes. Best known are How Do You Do? (1972 ), Hello- A ( 1972) and I See a Star (1974). Shortly after, the duo parted. While Maggie MacNeal henceforth operated as a soloist, Mouth founded with his new partner Ingrid Kup the duo " Big Mouth & Little Eve ".

Mouth & MacNeal reached in 1974 with I See a Star in the Euro Vision Song Contest in third place. In the same year, the German original recording of the Dutch Euro Vision Post published with the title: A gold'ner Stern (1974).

In the 1990s Duyn still performed with various rock bands in recent years, but he was engaged mainly of cafes and bars.

He lived in Emmen - Roswinkel, Drenthe. He died on 3 December 2004 of cardiac arrest.
