William B. Coley Award

The William B. Coley Award for Distinguished Research in Basic and Tumor Immunology is a from the Cancer Research Institute in New York City ( an institution of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research ) awarded academic distinction. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of basic immunology research and cancer immunology.

The price is U.S. $ 5,000 prize (2011 ) and named after William B. Coley, founder of the Cancer Immunotherapy and father of the founder of the Cancer Research Institute, Helen Coley Nauts. In his first award (1975 ) 16 personalities were awarded the prize, which was considered as the founder of Cancer Immunology.
