William Sadler (actor)
William Sadler ( born April 13, 1950 in Buffalo, New York ) is an American actor.
Life and achievements
Sadler debuted as an actor in New York theaters. At the end of the 1970s and early 1980s, he played several roles in television films and television series, in the comedy The spirits flyer Hanky Panky (1982 ), he starred opposite Gene Wilder a small supporting role. In the action film Hard to Kill ( 1990) he played the role of Senator Vernon Trent, the opponent of Mason Storm, the Steven Seagal played. In the action film Die Hard 2 (1990), he served as Colonel Stuart of the opponent, played by Bruce Willis John McClane. In the comedy Bill & Ted 's Bogus Journey into the Future (1991 ) Sadler played the role of Grim Reaper alongside Keanu Reeves. For this role he won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1992. In the sci-fi comedy Freaks (1993 ) he played next to Brooke Shields one of the main roles. In the horror film like we get yet! (1998 ), he starred opposite James Marsden and Katie Holmes as Dorian Newberry. From 1998 to 1999 he starred in the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in several episodes of the ominous Luther Sloan. In Thriller Purple Heart (2005) he played the lead role. In addition, William Sadler belonged to the solid cast members of the television series Roswell dreistaffeligen.
Since 2007 he was a regular alongside Tom Selleck on display until 2012 in the crime series Jesse Stone as Gino Fish.
Sadler is married to actress Marni Joan Bakst since 1977 and has one child.
