James Marsden

James Paul Marsden ( born September 18, 1973 in Stillwater, Oklahoma ) is an American actor.

Life

Marsden grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on. His parents divorced when he was nine years old. Marsden has four siblings: two younger sisters and two brothers. He attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City and later the Oklahoma State University, to study television journalism. The study broke Marsden from one and a half years and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

His first role was in the television drama Marsden 1993 The tragedy of Waco. After a few more roles in television series such as The Nanny, Party of Five and Touched by an Angel 1998 he was awarded one of the main roles in the teen horror film we get you too!. From 2001 to 2002 he starred in the fifth season of the legal drama Ally McBeal in the role of the lawyer Glenn Foy.

A wide audience Marsden is best known for his portrayal of Cyclops in the three parts of the X-Men films. In the following years, he starred in comedies such as Enchanted and 27 Dresses. In the remake of the musical Hairspray Marsden played the role of show host Corny Collins.

James Marsden married on 22 July 2000, the actress Lisa Linde, daughter of country music composer Dennis Linde. Linde filed on September 23, 2011, a divorce. The two have a son (* 2001) and a daughter (* 2005).
