William Wade, Baron Wade of Chorlton

William Oulton Wade, Baron Wade of Chorlton, of Chester in the County of Cheshire ( born December 24, 1932) is a British farmer, entrepreneurs, business leaders and politicians of the Conservative Party, which is since 1990 member of the House of Lords.

Life

After visiting the Birkenhead School graduated from Wade to study at Queen's University Belfast and subsequently worked as a farmer, entrepreneur and business manager.

The mid-1970s began Wade, the 1965 Justice of the Peace ( Justice of Peace ) of Cheshire, his political commitment to the Conservative Party in local politics and was 1973-1977 Member of the Council of the County of Cheshire. Between 1975 and 1990 he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Conservative Party, and at the same time 1982-1990 Treasurer of the Conservative Party.

Wade, the 1980 Freeman of the City of London, was defeated in 1982 Knight Bachelor. He was also between 1982 and 1984 Chairman of the Council for the export of cheese (English Cheese Export Council ).

On 16 May 1990, he was raised by a Letters Patent as a life peer with the title Baron Wade of Chorlton, of Chester in the County of Cheshire to the peerage. May 22, 1990 his Introduction ( Introduction) followed as a member of the House of Lords.

Lord Wade is still in the private sector and worked, among others, director of the company William Wild & Son, MAM Funds plc and Rocktron Ltd and commercial advisor to Davies Wallis Foyster Solicitors, King Sturge Property Consultants Ltd. and Hemway. He also volunteers his time as Chairman of the Trustees of the Children 's Safety Education Foundation, as a Trustee of the MBA Agri Farm Scholarships as well as vice president of the North of England Zoological Society.

On November 9, 2007, he the University of Chester gave an honorary doctorate.
