Williams FW24

The Williams FW24 was the Formula 1 racing car of Williams for the Formula 1 season 2002.

He followed the Williams FW23 used in the previous season and was replaced in the 2003 season by the Williams FW25.

Paint and sponsors

The basic colors of the FW24 were white and blue. The sponsors were Allianz SE, FedEx, Castrol and Compaq.

Driver

The driver line-up changed compared to the previous year not, Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya were the driver -budgetary. Test driver Marc Gene were, Giorgio Pantano and Antonio Pizzonia.

Engine and tires

The car was equipped with a 3.0 - liter V10 engine BMW P82 and drove Michelins.

Season 2002

With the FW24 Williams wanted to close the gap to Ferrari and McLaren after 2001 was still in 3rd place in the constructors' standings. The Ferrari proved to be the superior car, Williams celebrated the second race, the Malaysian Grand Prix the only win of the season, but could leave McLaren behind him and reach the second place in the Constructors' Championship.
