Winston Field

Winston Joseph Field MBE ( born June 6, 1904 in Bromsgrove, UK, † March 17 1969 in Salisbury, Rhodesia ) was a Rhodesian politician. He immigrated in 1921 according to Southern Rhodesia from. Finally he owned near Marandellas a tobacco farm and held 1938-1940, the Office of the President of the Rhodesian Tobacco Association. After the elections in 1962 Field became prime minister for the Rhodesian Front. His party accused him of not strongly advocate enough for the independence of Rhodesia from Britain. So his party urged him on April 2, 1964 resignation, successor was on April 14, 1964 Ian Smith.
