Witchery

Witchery is a Swedish Thrash-Metal/Speed-Metal-Band, which has been founded in 1997 in Linköping from former members of the band Satanic Slaughter.

Band History

After 1997, all members, left up to singer Ztephan Dark, the band Satanic Slaughter, decided singer Tony Kampner, the two guitarists Patrik Jensen and Rickard " groove " Rimfält as drummer Mique to form the band Witchery. Looking for a bass player they took shortly after the Arch - Enemy bassist Sharlee D' Angelo in the band.

Then the band began recording their debut album Restless And Dead, which she published in 1998 on Necropolis Records. That same year, also followed the first EP under the name Witchburner. Then the band went on tour with U.S. Borknagar and Emperor.

In 1999, the band released their second album Dead, Hot And Ready also under Necropolis Records. There was a common six -week tour with Moonspell and Kreator across Europe.

After a 2 year hiatus, due to the activities of the band members in other bands, they came back together in 2001 to record their third studio album Symphony continues the Devil take. It was also the first album on which also includes drummer Martin Axenrot was heard after Mique had left the band. The album subsequently appeared in September 2001 on another U.S. tour followed with The Haunted.

2004 saw the band one more time together around their fourth album Do not Fear the Reaper to take, which was subsequently published in February 2006 by Century Media Records, after they had negotiated with the label of a globally applicable record deal.

In June 2010, the band released their second album under Century Media named Witchkrieg, which should be an allusion to the Blitzkrieg. Then the band played at the Metal Town 2010 in Gothenburg.
