Borknagar

Borknagar is a Founded in 1995, Black Metal band from Norway, originally formed from members of the band Molested, Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Arcturus, Immortal and Ulver.

Their first album, Borknagar based itself on the very raw sound of the black metal of the early 1990s, but was musically, yet very independent. On the following albums, the band continued to develop consistently. In the trade press, the music Borknagars is now sometimes referred to as " avant-garde black metal " or Progressive Metal. This development is above all thanks to the voice Andreas " Vintersorg " Hedlund, who from the album Empiricism (2001) on vocals by Simen " ICS Vortex " Hestnæs (formerly Dimmu Borgir ) took over the band and thus helped to further autonomy.

The compositions of the group come from the founder and multi-instrumentalist Øystein G. Brun.
