Woodside (Victoria)

Woodside is a small village near the southeastern coast of the Australian state of Victoria in Wellington Shire. The town is located 226 km east of Melbourne, 68 km south-east of Traralgon and 22 km from Yarram.

Woodside was connected to Port Albert on June 22, 1923 to May 25, 1953, a railway line. The place was name give for Woodside Petroleum, one of Australia's largest oil companies, who opened up his first oil well there.
