Wulften am Harz

Wulften am Harz is a municipality of the velvet municipality Hattorf am Harz in the district of Osterode am Harz in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geography

Wulften am Harz is located on the southwestern edge of the resin or at the northwest end of Red Mountain and is traversed in an east-west direction from the Oder. The nearest towns are Osterode am Harz ( 12 km), Herzberg am Harz ( 15 km) and Göttingen (30 km).

History

  • Wulften am Harz was first mentioned in the year 889: The East Frankish king Arnulf of Carinthia invested Adalgar, the Gaugrafen of Lisgau with the places Kalefeld and Wulften (July 6, 889 ).
  • 1502 St. Aegidienkirche is established by his early cartridge, the nobles of Hardenberg.

  • Since 1972, the community Wulften is a member municipality of the velvet municipality Hattorf am Harz.
  • Since 1 October 2004, the official name of the municipality is Wulften am Harz.

In Wulften two companies active nationwide have their headquarters:

  • Gebr Gropengiesser, contractors and gravel plants

In Wulften there is a stop on the South Harz route. The railway line field - Wulften is now closed.
