Württemberg A

The vehicles of Class A were express steam locomotives of the Royal Württemberg State Eisenbahnenen. They were built in 1878 by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen.

The mid-1860s came the Württemberg State Railways of the American -influenced 2'B locomotives for 1B locomotive back because this caused in acquisition and maintenance costs lower. It even 2'B locomotives were rebuilt in 1B locomotives.

As the locomotives were built over several years, gave way to the individual deliveries in details differ, the boiler pressure increased from initially 10 bar to 12 bar. The vehicles had a Tender of type 2 T 10 and fell on by their large steam dome, which was placed immediately behind the little higher chimney.

Two locomotives arrived in 1925 as a series 34.81 still in the final renumbering plan of the Reichsbahn. The 34 8101 was the former train number 336, which was created in 1896 by a conversion from a locomotive of type Aa. The 34 8102, former train number 363, on the other hand was a new building from 1891. Both locomotives were retired in 1925.
