Wyre

Wyre is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Lancashire in England. Administrative center is the city of Poulton- le -Fylde; significant sights are Catterall, Fleetwood, Garstang, Great Eccleston, Pilling, Preesall and Thornton Cleveleys.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough Fleetwood, the Urban Districts Poulton- le -Fylde, Preesall and Thornton- Cleeveleys and the Garstang Rural District.
